Charlie Simon’s Swim’n Hole – 2020 – Oil on canvas – 24″ x 30″
This was one of my first paintings to step outside Bob’s world and create my own.
This scene is inspired by is a small nook in the river that I spent summers at down the road from grandmothers house in Biloxi MS. Located on the Tchoutacabouffa River, Charlie’s place was where we all gathered for fish fry’s, swing’n and jump’n from tree into the river and laughing at our uncles jump’n in with a bar of soap after cleaning all the fish. Great summer memories.
